Prenatal Consultation

$170 (see insurance)

A prenatal lactation visit is a personalized appointment to prepare you for breastfeeding before your baby arrives. Typically 60–90 minutes, the visit includes education on breastfeeding basics, positioning and latch practice (often using a doll or pillow), discussion of common challenges and solutions, and a review of pumping, milk stores, and feeding plans tailored to your needs and goals.

Visits can be scheduled as a home visit within a 30-minute travel radius or as an office visit, depending on your preference and convenience.

This session helps build confidence, answers your questions, and creates a practical plan to support a successful start to breastfeeding.

Postpartum Consultation

$170 (see insurance)

A postpartum lactation consult visit is a personalized session to support you and your baby with feeding, comfort, and confidence. Visits typically last 60–90 minutes and include a weigh-feed-weigh assessment to measure milk transfer objectively. During the visit, the lactation consultant will:

  • Review feeding history and goals, baby’s health and weight patterns, and any medical concerns

  • Observe a feeding and perform the weigh-feed-weigh to assess how much milk the baby is taking

  • Evaluate latch, positioning, and maternal comfort; suggest adjustments and practical techniques

  • Offer guidance on milk supply concerns, pumping and storage, nipple care, and safe supplementation if needed

  • Create a clear, individualized plan and provide follow-up recommendations or referrals

Visits are available at your home (within a 30-minute travel radius) or at our office, whichever is more convenient and comfortable for you. Please allow 60–90 minutes for the visit to ensure time for assessment, teaching, and questions.

Telehealth Visits

$100 (see insurance)

A telehealth lactation visit is a private video consultation to address breastfeeding concerns. Appointments typically last 30–60 minutes, allowing time to review feeding history, observe a feeding session, assess latch and positioning, and provide personalized guidance and troubleshooting. During the visit, the consultant will offer practical techniques, demonstrate strategies you can try at home, discuss pumping and milk supply as needed, and create a follow-up plan. You’ll receive clear next steps and resources to support successful feeding. Please have a comfortable, quiet space ready for the appointment.
