Lactation Support Services Overview
Prepare confidently for breastfeeding with a prenatal lactation consultation tailored to your needs. In a 60–90 minute session, a certified lactation consultant reviews feeding goals, anatomy and physiology, positioning and latch basics, milk supply foundations, common challenges and prevention strategies, pumping and storage guidance, and a personalized feeding plan. Ideal for first-time parents, those with prior difficulties, or anyone seeking reassurance. Appointments available in-person or virtual; take-home resources included.
Prenatal Consultation
Postpartum Consultation
Comprehensive postpartum lactation support to help you and your baby thrive. An experienced lactation consultant will provide in-person and virtual visits, personalized feeding plans, hands-on latching and positioning guidance, milk supply assessment and management, breast and nipple care, pumping instruction, and safe supplementation strategies when needed. We offer emotional support, troubleshooting for common challenges (engorgement, mastitis, low supply, oversupply, tongue-tie concerns), and guidance on returning to work and building a pumping plan. Care is family-centered, evidence-based, and tailored to your goals—whether you’re exclusively breastfeeding, combination feeding, or transitioning to bottle feeding. Flexible scheduling, ongoing follow-up, and practical resources help you feel confident and supported through the postpartum period.
Beyond the First 3 Months
Support for breastfeeding beyond the newborn stage—tailored care for infants older than 3 months through the toddler years. We help with sustained milk supply, introducing solids while maintaining nursing, tandem or extended nursing guidance, managing supply changes during pregnancy or return-to-work transitions, comfort and positioning for older, more active nursers, and resolving intermittent latch or behavior challenges. Appointments include practical strategies, hands-on assistance, personalized feeding plans, and emotional support to meet your goals for comfort, nutrition, and bonding.
Why We Do What We Do
